The Delta Public Health Center is holding a Women’s Health Clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 3, and Thursday, Nov. 4. The Nurse Practitioner from Fairbanks Regional Public Health Center will be providing the exams. Appointments will be required.
The Women’s Health Clinic is intended for women and teens who have difficulty accessing health care due to lack of health insurance or other barriers. Fees for services will be based on a sliding scale for Pap smears and exams. No one will be refused service if unable to pay.
Screenings for Chlamydia and gonorrhea by urine sample, as well as blood testing for HIV and syphilis, will be available at no charge. These screenings are available to both women and men. All testing is confidential.
