Where is Waldo?

Recently a lone calf Bison has been observed freely roaming the Delta area, (that is what free ranging Bison do). He was first reported to Fish and Game down the Richardson Hwy., just north of the CRTC Test Track and moving along the TAPS line in a northerly direction feeding on fireweed and grasses, 3 hours later we received a call that he was at the Ft. Greely Main Gate, but was refused entry because he did not possess appropriate
identification.

Since then there have been numerous sightings of the little guy heading down the Alaska Highway and in the Clearwater area. We would like individuals to only observe this animal and do not try to apprehend him. Anyone with knowledge of the location of the lone Bison calf, A.K.A “Waldo” should notify Dave Davenport at the Delta Junction ADF&G
Office at 895-4484.
