D.J. Saddle Tramps 4-H Club Meeting

4-H is kids having fun and learning with their friends.

The D.J. Saddle Tramps 4-H Club is having their first meeting of the 2011/2012 4-H year
Thursday October 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Career Advancement Center (located behind the Delta High School)

The D.J. Saddle Tramps focus mainly on the following projects Horses, Large Livestock, Small Livestock, & Market Livestock, however, we do welcome all projects to our club and will do our best to accomodate them!
this past year our club hosted many events including the following:

Equine Spring Shots Clinic
Horse Camp
Ken McNabb Clinic – Nationally renowned Horse Clinician
Margaret Mendoza Clinic – Nationally renowned Clinician & Judge
Deltana Fair – Livestock show & Market Livestock Auction
Deltana Fair – Louis Stockwell Memorial Play Day
Deltana Fair – Parade

This is just a few of our many events  and activities we have participated in through out this past year.

Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of every month.  The kids conduct a short business meeting to cover the clubs activities & events. The Business meeting is followed by a lesson from a leader on projects the kids have chosen.

4-H is open to kids in grades K-12 or ages 5-18.

Cloverbuds is a category for the younger group K-3rd grade or ages 5-8.   These young 4 Her’s can participate in many projects with the exception of Horse & ATV projects.

4-Her’s in grades 3rd – 12th or ages 9 – 18, can participate in all 4-H projects and activities!

A New 4-H Club Starting in Delta Junction

Are you interested in attending a hands on Science Engineering and Technology Program? 

A new 4-H Club is starting up in Delta Junction and will offer some interesting programs.  We have LEOG education kits that we can utilize and have ordered the 4-H Robotics Curriculum as well.  They are a blast to work with! 

While the space shuttle Endeavour is on it’s final mission, we are making preparations to construct a one-third scale model of the space vessel.  “Learn by Doing”…experiment, innovate and think independently.
Meet with your friends and neighbors and
get ready to explore we we launch into these programs:
- Aerospace
- Robotics
- Carpentry
- Small Engine
- Leadership
- Citizenship
- Environmental Science
- Alternative Energy
