On the train ride touring the Eldorado Gold Mine Site, you pass this gold miner’s cabin complete with a demonstration of the sluice box by the creek. The El Dorado Gold Mine is located 9 miles north of Fairbanks, just past the town of Fox, on the Elliot Highway (mile 1.3).
