The Deltana Community Services Partnership, in collaboration with the City of Delta Junction, will be submitting an application to the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation for pre development funding for the Deltana Community Senior Housing Project. Pre development funding and subsequent activities are the first step in making the senior housing project a reality and will open the door to further funding opportunities. In an exciting move forward, the DCSP has also contacted senior housing developers and consultants, Tim and Mary Anderson of Anderson Enterprises, who will be present at the next DCSP Senior work group meeting on January 21, 2010 at 5:30 pm.
Tim and Mary Anderson are AHFC senior housing developers and have worked on major projects in Mat-Su, Talkeetna, Ketchikan and other locations in Alaska. In 2004, Anderson Enterprises expanded its services to include consulting, grant writing, and housing development to assist businesses and non-profit organizations with their capital and housing development projects. The Andersons have offered to assist the Delta community to make our senior housing project a reality. The Andersons come to us with great qualifications. Over the past five years the Andersons have served as developers for independent senior housing projects in Cooper Landing, Meadow Lakes and Willow and have assisted each of these in planning multi phase campus projects writing AHFC GOALS funding applications, working with local government and permitting agencies and overseeing project development, setting up management systems, lease up and marking of units and advising on operations and management of these housing projects. They are currently working on senior housing projects in Ketchikan and Houston.
The Senior Housing meeting will be Thursday, January 21, 2010, 5:30pm downstairs in the DCSP conference room in the Parkside Professional Building on the corner of Kimball Street and Richardson Avenue across from the city ballpark. WE ENCOURAGE THE COMMUNITY TO ATTEND AND OFFER INPUT! For more information e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Deborah Hayes 1800-478-7307. Or phone Deborah Snyder at 895-3234.
